Our theme day is this month paths and passages. This is the path to Knivsjellodden, the northernmost point of the entire continent of Europe (which is in fact located on an island...). The hike takes about three hours (+ of course another 3 hours to get back). It you look carefully, you can see two tourists on their way to Knivsjellodden on the photo.

Three hours there and back. That is a very long walk. The scenery does look worth the trek though.
Well... if you are fit, 5 hours should be enough. The way back is a bit boring though, since there is only one way (if you try to walk elsewhere, the probability that you'll end up in swamps if quite high), so you'd better go with a friend or make friends on the way (just a I did) to have someone to talk with.
Looking at my globe only Northern Greenland, Siberia, Sptizbergen (is that not part of Europe?) and some Canadian Arctic Islands lie further North.
I admire you for making the trek; a few miles is a far as I can walk these days.
There is this big discussion of what should be considered the northernmost point of some part of the world. Should we count only the mainland, or maybe also the inshore islands, or maybe also the remote islands? So there are several answers for the question what is the northernmost point of Europe. You can check out "North Cape", "Cape Nordkinn", "Knivskjellodden" e.g. on wikipedia. (Siberia belongs to Asia)
