This is a polar bear in Hammerfest. It is standing with its back directed to the city. People say it is because the artist wasn't paid enough and got angry.
Hammerfest is the northernmost city of Europe on the mainland.

As far as I know he did get paid, but he just hasn't got paid enough... :)
Many generations way back my family came from Hammerfest. This is a wonderful shot for me.
