Sunset at Gjesværstappan (40)

I was going with my friends to the North Cape for the opening of the film festival, we were a bit late. However, I am really glad that we had a delay, otherwise this photo wouldn't exist. We still managed to get there on time.

Evening (23)

This cloud made it impossible to see the sunset on Monday. To see the sunset (and also the midnight sun) you have to climb up a mountain.

Midnight sun (17)

This photo was taken in July last year around 1 am. To see the midnight sun in H. you have to climb up a mountain. It is possible to see it from May till the end of July.

Nordvågen (12)

This photo was taken in Nordvågen, in one of the four fishing villages of the island, very close to Honningsvåg.

North Cape cliff (1)

This is North Cape, the place visited by roughly 200 000 tourists every year. At the top of the 307 metres high cliff you can see the globe, which is the symbol of the place. The weather is incredibly good. Such visibility is not the case every day! The norm is rain (or snow, depending on the season; however, the latter can fall at any time of the year), strong wind and thick fog.
