Fantastic! When I was a little girl living in Illinois, we once saw the aurora borealis. My parents drove way out into the country where lights were lower to get a good look. They never get that far south any longer. Thanks so much for sharing your photo.

Yes, you need really long times of exposure, I have set it on 30 seconds. That's why the buildings are a bit blured, I didn't have a real tripod with me.
